Transform your game graphics with my custom-built 9-Slice Shader, a unique addition to your Clickteam Fusion 2.5 toolbox. This shader is meticulously designed to enhance the visual appeal of your objects, bringing a new level of professionalism and polish to your projects.

Key Features:

  1. Dynamic 9-Slice Scaling: Our shader slices your object's texture into nine distinct segments. The central part of the texture is designed to stretch both horizontally and vertically, ensuring seamless scalability while preserving the integrity of your design.
  2. Edge & Corner Preservation: The edges of your textures will stretch in the direction they align with, while the corners remain at their original size. This thoughtful design maintains the visual quality and crispness of your objects, even when scaled.
  3. Effortless Integration & Control: Applying this shader is a breeze. Simply update the object's scale and adjust the X Scale and Y Scale parameters to suit your needs. These parameters can be fine-tuned to zoom in on your objects, magnifying them while keeping the edges and corners beautifully intact.
  4. Versatility for Various Projects: Whether you’re working on a pixel-art retro game or a high-resolution modern title, this shader is versatile enough to adapt to a wide range of graphical styles and requirements.
  5. Optimized for Performance: Crafted with performance in mind, our shader ensures that the visual enhancements don’t come at the cost of your game’s smooth operation.
  6. Compatibility: The shader is compatible with all runtimes, these being Windows (DX9+), Android, iOS and Mac.

Ideal Use Cases:

  • Creating scalable UI elements that retain their quality at different sizes.
  • Enhancing visual elements in both 2D and 3D projects.
  • Adding a professional touch to resizable game assets.

Easy to Implement: You don't need to be a shader expert to use this. The implementation is straightforward, making it accessible for both beginners and seasoned developers.

Support & Documentation: The shader comes with a comprehensive example, ensuring you have all the information needed to integrate it seamlessly into your projects. Plus, I'm here to answer any questions and provide support if needed.

Sneak peak of a project using it: Here in this video, you can see how you can transform projects making them much more professional looking with the shader. In the beginning of the video, I show one of the few Dialogue Tree Editors for Fusion, then I show my WIP tool for that purpose:

Hello, I understand this shader will basically cut the square into 9 bits, and when you scale it, it makes it all smooth and nice, now, I want to make a game that has a window system, basically, you will have a title bar, and the title bar has text in it, just a string maybe, and then the middle will have a text, is this possible with your shader, do you know?

Yes, I recommend using Active System Box for the text since you can resize it. That's what I did in my Dialogue Tree Editor that I was working on...
You'll need to position it according to the edges of the object (left and top positions), you can use the width to find the center as well for centered text.

Ahhhh, thanks mate I actually needed to find a way to display text :) I knew about system object, but I just didn’t think about it being viable, so it’s good to know that the pros are using it that way. :)

Actually mate, I wanted to ask, do you reckon we could create a bundle with this? I’d like to make a framework for UI, because I personally struggle with UI, and having a foundation would be nice, and so I was thinking about also selling it, would you be interested in making a bundle with it? as it would use your shaders (Legally I can’t include them, but if you wouldn’t mind, we could bundle it together so that people can just go buy it all at the same time)

Are you interested? If so, what is your discord? I can add you and we can discuss it.

Edit: Specifically, I am referring to the “itch.io bundles” I am not saying that I put your shaders in my project* just to clarify. Max will be fusion will spit out an error, “Can’t find 9-slice shaders”

Let me see if I understood, you mean that we could make a bundle, and itch would sell both products, you would get your part and I would get my part as well, automatically?
If that is a thing, it would sure be interesting!
How can we set that up?

Yes, so basically, you would go to your page’s dashboard, and select “Promotions” and select “Co-op bundles” which I think is what you would want.

Well, let me know once you have a product to bundle ready

No option to do  repetition instead of scaling, so it's good only for menu backgrounds and not game objects unfortunately... :-(

Hey! I totally hear you. I'm working on a new version for this
I couldn't do it before because of DX9 limitations, but I think I know a few new tricks that might work for working around these.
This will come as a free update, so please follow me and you'll be notified once it's done!
